We are fighting for leaders who understand the struggles of underserved communities and can work toward equity and justice for all. We are fighting for equal representation and protection under the law so it is vital that we have Black candidates run, and Black voices heard. That's why we must pull our resources together to ensure these candidates have what they need to win!
Our community GOALS
Amplifying Representation
BLAF is resolutely committed to increasing the representation of black men in leadership positions across various sectors. Our measurable goal is to double the number of black men in prominent leadership roles within governmental bodies, corporations, and community organizations over the next 8 years.
Civic Engagement
We believe that active participation in the democratic process is essential for creating meaningful change. BLAF is dedicated to increasing black men's voter registration, turnout, and engagement in local and national elections. Our initial measurable goal is to achieve a 30% voter turnout among black residents in the upcoming election cycle in local elections.
Community Building
BLAF recognizes the importance of strong and resilient communities. We are dedicated to supporting community-led initiatives that foster unity, social cohesion, and improved access to essential services. Our measurable long-term goal is to utilize or establish community centers in underserved neighborhoods, positively impacting the lives of 10,000 black men and their families within five years.
